Recognition for Sanitaryware Supplies company at the 2018 Derbyshire Times Business Awards

Sanitaryware Supplies Company (SSC) has been recognised at the 2018 Derbyshire Times Business Awards, taking home not one but two accolades at the prestigious event.

The company was highly commended in the Small Business of the Year category, sponsored by Arnold Clark, narrowly missing out on the win. However, Sanitaryware Supplies Company did scoop the Mitchells Anniversary Award; a brand new one-off award celebrating the accountants 150th anniversary.

As part of the award, SSC will receive a free year of mentoring and support from Mitchells Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers.

Now in their tenth year, the Derbyshire Times Business Awards are one of the annual highlights in the North East Derbyshire business community.  This year, there were 14 categories in total, celebrating and recognising the very best of the area’s businesses and the business people that run them.

Delighted to be recognised at the awards, Andy Dukelow, Director of Sanitaryware Supplies Company said: “It was a fantastic night for me and the business. The last 12 months have been about developing our product range and online presence as well as growing our bespoke design and fabrication service. We are working on a number of really exciting projects, so there’s a real buzz about the company which the judges clearly picked up on.

“The awards are a great way to round off 2018. We can’t wait to see what the New Year brings.”

There was further celebration on the evening for Andy when Ashgate Hospicecare was named as Business of the Year and Charity of the Year at the 2018 Derbyshire Times Business Awards. Andy has been a Trustee at Ashgate Hospicecare since 2011.

He added: “I am delighted for all the team at Ashgate Hospicecare. They all work so hard providing high quality care to so many people and their families in the area.  It is a very special organisation, built on people and caring and loving kindness and one that I am delighted to be part of.”

Hosted by Jessica Cunningham, entrepreneur, blogger and TV personality, best known for her stint on the BBC show – The Apprentice, the glittering black-tie ceremony recognised and celebrated the very best in local business and commerce.
