Our thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) control the temperature of the water for applications such as showers, tap spouts, and wash basins.
By installing a TMV to your washroom, you are ensuring safety of all users as you can ensure that water only flows at safe temperatures (up to 55 degrees Celsius). This is especially important within commercial environments, or in areas where there are young children, to ensure that you are meeting health and safety requirements when customers are using your washroom facilities.
The Thermostatic mixing valve offers full protection against scalding, even in cases where the flow of cold water is disrupted. This works through the expansion of a thermal element inside the valve, that causes the side valve to close and prevent flow from the outlet.
However, the reduced pre-set temperature to reduce the risk of scalding can lead to Legionella, which is why you need to make sure that your TMV is installed and maintained properly.
Not only are our thermostatic mixing valves great for controlling water temperature in taps and showers, they can also be used to control underfloor heating, saving you money on energy bills. Using a TMV allows you to make better use of solar energy, and can reduce your radiator circuit’s temperature, meaning safe and comfortable heating for feet and floor.
Our range of TMV mixing valves are TMV3 (clinical) and TMV2 (domestic) certified, and WRAS approved. This means they can be used in high risk clinical applications and are manufactured to the highest standards in the market
